Milan: Bertolacci and Diego Lopez ruled out
The former Genoa midfielder, who joined AC Milan last summer on a €20 million deal, scored the opener in the Stadio Olimpico showdown just ten minutes before sustaining a muscular tear which forced Rossoneri manager Sinisa Mihajlovc to replace him with former Sampdoria midfielder Andrea Poli.
AC Milan have also revealed that the 24-year-old will undergo a further medical in ten days's time. The San Siro side have failed to disclose Bertolacci’s recovery time, but it is believed that he could be back for the Serie A showdown against Juventus, the next 21st of November.
Things are going from bad to worse for Diego Lopez as after that Sinisa Mihajlovic have preferred the 16 year old Gianluigi Donnarumma over him in the last two games, the former Real Madrid goalkeeper is also suffering from a patellar tendinitis which will force him out of action for unspecified lenght of time, the club revealed in thier official website.
The former Real Madrid shot-stopper has also left a message for all the Rossoneri supporters on his official Facebook profile.
"I have been suffering a patellar tendinitis since the last four months. I have tried to get rid of it in silence, working hard with the club doctor. I have done the best I could to recover, regardless the sacrifices and despite all the pain. Unfortunately I am still not feeling well and I'll have to stop training and start a specific treatment. That's the only way I have to solve the problem."
"I want to specify that I took this decision in accordance with the club and it has nothing to do with the recents circumstances [his exclusion from the starting XI]. I'll carry on working hard with the same commitment and motivation to come back as soon as possible, stronger than ever."
