Inter have officially finished fourth in this season’s Serie A championship and failed to qualify for the Champions League for the fifth successive season. Despite this, it’s the club’s best placed finish since they last participated in Europe’s premier club competition.
 

Now the focus turns to how to improve the squad for next year. If they are to make a marquee signing, then sacrifices will have to be made. Handanovic, Miranda, Murillo, Brozovic, Perisic and Icardi are all prized assets but all are available for transfer…at a price.
 

The lesser evil looks to be to sell goalkeeper Handanovic, because his role looks to be the easiest to fill. The Slovenian stated after today’s match that; “I don’t know where my future lies, in football anything can happen”. Another season without Champions League football weighs heavy on the 31-year-old and in the event that he will seek pastures new this summer, it’s likely that either Sportiello (Atalanta) or Sirigu (PSG) would takes his place.
