Inter, the truth about Blanc, de Boer & Kondogbia's Liverpool move

There has been a lack of clarity over the future of coach Frank de Boer but yesterday, Inter publicly displayed it’s support for the under-fire Dutchman. After Friday’s assembly meeting, the 46-year-old will be given at least until the next international break to prove he’s the right man to take the club forward.

    THE TRUTH ABOUT BLANC:
The nerazzurri also wanted to make it quite clear that it has not contacted anyone about being the possible successor to de Boer. During last Wednesday’s 2-1 win over Torino, the assistant of former PSG coach Laurent Blanc was spotted in the stands at the San Siro, but club officials have now publicly stated that no exchange of dialogue ever took place.

    DANGEROUS TURBULENCE:
Sporting Director Piero Ausilio has also been rumoured to be trying to help out the Dutch tactician by trying to trim down the size of the squad. De Boer has stated that “I have too many players and I can only pick 11. This is bound to upset some of the squad”. The coach is concerned that certain players’ omission from the squad is having a negative effect in the dressing-room and Ausilio is working with the new Chinese owners to address the problem. One of the players at risk is French midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia; representatives of the player are pushing to get him a loan move away from Serie A to the Premier League. A few days ago reports insisted that Liverpool was a likely destination but the player’s wage demands could well be a major stumbling block.
