Juve, already preparing for life after Morata: here are the names

Juventus prepares to say goodbye to Alvaro Morata. There is still a glimmer of hope that he may remain, but these are decreasing day after day. Real Madrid has decided to exercise their buy-back option, paying the 30 million that was agreed when he joined the bianconeri. There are many potential suitors; Chelsea, PSG, Arsenal and Manchester United are all willing to hand over €50-60 million to Los Blancos this summer, so the fact remains that he will leave the club.

POST MORATA
Now the Old Lady must think about his replacement. The club has two options, go out and purchase a high quality striker or focus more on reinforcing the midfield. Names that immediately come to light here are Andre Gomes (Valencia) and Miralem Pjanic of Roma. Should Marotta and company decide to go down this road, they may choose to invest in the future up-front and here we have 19-year-old Gabriel Jesus of Palmeiras. He has no experience of playing in Europe but he is highly-rated and is certainly an option at around €25 million. The name at the top of the list however, remains Edinson Cavani but with the departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic from PSG, Juventus may have a fight on their hands to try to prize him away from the French capital. The bianconeri have never lost hope in securing his signature and dialogue continues between the two parties. A fee of €50 million will need to be tabled to bring the Uruguayan to Turin. Other names in the frame are Lukaku of Everton, whose father has already stated that a move to a top Italian club would be good for his son, and Batshuayi of Marseille.
