    Genoa winger Diego Perotti is about to join AS Roma for a €9 million transfer fee, which means that the rossoblu have to start looking for his successor. The Ligurian club is thinking of bringing in Fiorentina's 30-year-old Giusepper Rossi, but the former Villarreal man is considered more of a backup for Pavoletti than a substitute for Perotti.

    As outlined by calciomercato.com’s expert Fabrizio Romano, Genoa’s real dream remains AC Milan's 23-year-old Stephan El Shaarawy. The latter is not too convinced by the idea of joining his former club and, in any case, the rossoneri don’t want to renounce to his €14 million transfer fee. On the other hand, the Italy international is also a target for Roma themselves.

    For this reason, the rossoblu are thinking about another Milan player, 28-year-old Alessio Cerci. He still belongs to Atletico Madrid, so the Colochoneros’ agreement will be needed for negotiations to be successful. For this reason, even if the giallorossi have already found a full agreement for Perotti, the transfer will need some time to be carried out.
