Udinese reach agreement with Delneri to become their new coach

After the dismissal of Beppe Iachini late last night, Sky Sport is reporting that former Chievo and Roma boss Luigi Delneri has found an agreement with the club to take over the reigns. The 66-year-old spent two years at with the club as a player between 1978-80 and last season failed to save Hellas Verona from the drop after replacing Andrea Mandorlini.

He will sign a one-year deal at the Dacia Arena with the option of a second should things go well. Udinese currently sit in the lower reaches of Serie A and last weekend's 0-3 home defeat to Lazio hastened the departure of his predecessor.
