BREAKING Next few hours key to Miha's fate, Berlusconi furious at substitutions

Sinisa Mihajlovic's tenure at Milan is more and more uncertain. Following another embarrassing defeat, this time to Bologna, the club is undecided about its manager's future. The Serbian coach has yet to meet with Adriano Galliani, and the club has yet to communicate anything officially, which doesn’t necessarily imply that Miha will be sacked tonight. That said, his position is very much in doubt.

Milan's line, in fact… is radio silence, which is definitely not a good sign: either the next few hours will bring further developments, or things have been postponed because Silvio Berlusconi has yet to make a decision.

He is definitely disappointed, having long since snubbed Miha, deserting Milanello and often sniping at his manager in the press.

Ironically, the sheer quantity of fixtures in Milan’s calendar could be Mihajlovic’s saving grace: with only 72 hours to go before the team travels to the Olimpico to face Roma, and next week’s key Coppa Italia clash against Carpi (which is now Milan’s most important fixtures this season, something Giacomo Bonaventura confirmed today) coming up, there may not be enough time to sack the Serbian. Unless, of course, things turn embarrassing at the Olimpico.

It is frankly difficult to work out to what extent this is Mihajlovic’s fault. That said, the club is irritated by how he handled the substitutions, keeping Luiz Adriano on the bench too long, Niang’s substitution and throwing on Cerci – a player whose status is so uncertain that he now trains alone, with the club’s approval. Beyond that, of course, there’s the team’s unwillingness to salute the fans, a sign that there may well be tension in the dressing room, something which falls within the coach’s purview.
