Details of Chelsea target Nainggolan’s new contract revealed
Walter Sabatini and Mauro Baldissoni have had several meetings with the player’s agent Alessandro Beltrami and the former Cagliari man is now finally ready to pen a new deal with the capitolines.
Our reporter Francesca Schito, however, has exclusively learned that Nainggolan is only going to get a pay rise and not a contract extension as his new deal with the club will also expire in June 2020, just like his current one.
Nainggolan’s salary is almost € 4 million a year now and the new deal would allow him to get more than € 5 million a year with bonus included.
AS Roma have kept their word and are going to offer Nainggolan a new contract after refusing several offers of Chelsea last summer.
After the Belgian, AS Roma will sit around the negotiations table for the contract extensions of Kostas Manolas and Kevin Strootman.
