Roma, Spalletti: 'We took a step back, you can't stop playing like we did. It is my fault'

Roma coach Luciano Spalletti spoke to Premium Sport after their 2-1 loss to Atalanta, here is what he had to say: "If you stop playing then your opponents to their job and will score on you. We started off the game well but we then stopped playing like we were supposed to and Atalanta won the game. This is a heavy loss for us but for Atalanta it is a great win. Once a game becomes physical we seem to step back a bit and we don't play like we are supposed to. We have been working on this but we still make mistakes. When a squad doesn't fight well then that's the coaches responsibility because it is up to the coach to get the team ready. We took a step back today but it is also true that Atalanta are playing very well of late. The Penalty kick? There was contact even if the player let himself fall a little bit...".

With the loss, Roma are now seven points back of first placed Juventus.
