According to Premium Sport, Mateo Musacchio has been earmarked as the future of the Giallorossi's backline alongside Kostas Manolas.
We'd already reported on this eventuality, pointing out that Musacchio has done very well with the little time he's had on the pitch this season (he went down with a horrifying injury in April of last year).
The Villareal defender didn't make the cut to be a part of Argentina's final 23-man Copa America roster, though he was chosen for the Albiceleste's preliminary camp.
