Calciomercato.com welcomes new director Jacobelli
Xavier Jacobelli is the new editorial director of Calciomercato.com.
The director from Bergamo is one of the most popular Italian journalists having worked for La Gazzetta dello Sport, Corriere dello Sport-Stadio and having been the news editor of Il Giornale for three years as well as Tuttosport and Il Giorno.
In 2005, he founded the QS Quotidiano Sportivo. For five years he was in charge of the Quotidiano.net, which under his guidance became one of the most popular Italian websites.
“In the late 90s, I was directing Tuttosport and by then everything was changing due to the Bosman rule,” explained Jacobelli.
“In radio, tv, internet and newspapers the way of reporting calciomercato radically changed. Now I am taking charge of the most prestigious and trustworthy transfer-market website in Italy and I am convinced the best is yet to come.”
