Conte; "I felt scared after Sergio Aguero's tackle on David Luiz"

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has admitted that he feared the worst after Sergio Aguero’s horror tackle on David Luiz in last week’s Premier League win at The Etihad Stadium.

The Italian tactician was quoted by the Daily Express as stating that; “The tackle was dangerous, for sure. I watched the images and I was afraid David might be injured. I was scared. This was very dangerous. I have to check if David is able to play because this tackle was very bad.”

The Argentine was handed a four-match ban for the offence towards the end of last Saturday’s clash and after being handed a three-match ban earlier in the season after elbowing West Ham United defender Winston Reid, his boss Pep Guardiola stated that; “Sergio’s not an aggressive player, it’s two red cards, seven games, accept the punishment. It’s not my job; it’s a job for the referees. I’m not comfortable talking about the referees. We just have to accept it and try to make sure it doesn’t happen again.”
