‘No time to learn two different languages!’, Allegri plays down Real Madrid rumors

Massimiliano Allegri spoke to media ahead of tomorrow’s meeting with Atalanta. Here’s what he told journalists attending the pre-match press conference.

‘Atalanta have not won any of their last 13 games, so they’d like to put an end to such a bad trend.”

“It won’t be an easy match because they play very well at home and we can only win.”

“The defeat against Inter could be wholesome for us. We were unbeaten in our last 21 games and luckily it has not prevented us from qualifying to the final.”

Rugani did not play a good game, but no one did against Inter. I had previously said that there were too many expectations on a 22-year-old defender who is playing with some of the best European centre-backs like Bonucci, Barzagli, Chiellini and Caceres.”

“Of course he made some mistakes, but that doesn’t mean he’s not going to play anymore. Absolutely no. Making mistakes it’s something common in football, but one doesn’t lose his qualities or his talent when commits errors.”

“He’ll become an important player for the future of this club.

Marchisio is fit to play, I think he’ll start tomorrow. Chiellini is still out and I don’t know if he’ll be able to recover for next week’s game against Sassuolo. Sturaro is out too. He has a problem to his big toe and he can’t even put his shoes on.”

“Winning against AS Roma was very important for us because now we are five points above them with a game in hand. I am not surprised by their winning streak. They have the right team to do so and I believe they can still win the league.”

“As I already said, we’d need roughly 87 points to win the Scudetto. Roma can get to 86, so they can still win the title. After tomorrow’s game we are going to have six home games and four away. We are three points above Napoli. That will be like a mini-league in which we have to remain on top or, even better, increase our advantage.”

“I am happy at Juve. I have another year left on my contract and I am not feeling underestimated. I am in a big club. It’s funny because I read an article linking me to Real Madrid this week. I can’t learn two languages in only two months!”
