Inter to chase Emery if Mancini leaves?

Before any of you get your undergarments in a twist, we have to specify that, so far, it is unlikely that Roberto Mancini won't be Inter manager next season. Club manager Dejan Stankovic recently confirmed that "He is Inter's manager, and has espoused the team's project, he'll be here next year too. Then again, you never know in life".

Owner Thohir, Director of Sport Ausilio and legend Javier Zanetti have said much the same thing.

But what if something were to go wrong from here till the end of the season, or if Mancini acts on his frustration with the Italian game? What if that "you never know" is accurate? Madrid paper As claims to have an answer: Unai Emery.

The Spanish manager has been wildly successful in his current role at Sevilla, whom he has led to two straight Europa League triumphs.

Though far from impressive in this year's Champions League, it doesn't seem that the Basque coach's stock has plummeted: chased by Napoli and Milan last summer, he has also been linked to Juventus this year.

For the sake of repetition, Inter look very happy with Mancini. But if things went South, you can add Emery to the current list of potential replacements, which includes Roberto Martinez, Frank de Boer, Vincenzo Montella and forbidden fruit Diego Simeone.
