Mido: ‘I almost killed Zlatan with a pair of scissors once’

Former Ajax promise Mido played for AS Roma in the 2004-05 campaign but could only rack up 8 appearances scoring no goals.

The Egyptian striker has released an interview with the Sun going behind the scenes of his time at Ajax when he was playing alongside Man Utd’s newcomer Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

“One day I was very angry. I started the game from the bench and I entered the pitch when we were two goals down.”

“I argued with Ibrahimovic on the pitch and the dispute continued after the game, in the changing room. I was shouting to my teammates and Zlatan was shouting at me.”

“I had using a pair of scissors to remove the bandage from ankles and I suddenly thrown the scissors towards him. I went just a few centimetres away from hitting him and scissors remained stuck in the wall.”

“Ten minutes later we had a shower and we started laughing, he told me he was aware that I had almost killed him.”
