Napoli, De Laurentiis closes the idea of Cavani: "He will not return"
There will be no Napoli return for Edinson Cavani; President Aurelio De Laurentiis has issued a statement on the clubs website pouring water over any rumours that the former striking legend will be heading back to the San Paolo this summer. The patron explained that; “I am a great admirer of Edinson Cavani. With him we had so much fun during his stay in Naples. He scored so many beautiful goals; well 104! But it is difficult for a former player to return here, because Napoli must evolve season by season. That is why I always say that we need young players and why already, the newcomers have contributed greatly to the success of Napoli. Now players like Milik and Gabbiadini have great opportunities to be successful here. We are responsible for the future of this club and we must make the correct decisions”.
