REVEALED! Why El Sha's relationship with Milan broke down | by F.Romano

Stephan El Shaarawy is blazing a trail at AS Roma. The former AS Monaco man joined the Giallorossi from AC Milan on a six-months loan with option to buy last January.

AS Roma can make his move permanent for a fee of € 13 million next summer and with four goals scored in the last five games, it is very likely that the Capitolines will decide to make the Pharaoh’s stay in Rome permanent.

Three years ago El Sha was considered the most promising Italian player out there as he finished the first part of the 2012-2013 season with 16 goals scored in all competitions.

El Shaarawy, however, slowed down a bit after Mario Balotelli's arrival at Milan in January 2013 and in the following summer window Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala made a € 40 million offer to bring the Pharaoh in Russia.

That’s when the relationship between the club and the player stranded. Milan accepted the Russian’s bid without even thinking twice about it, but El Shaarawy did not want to move to Russia despite being offered € 7 million a year.

El Shaarawy’s price had been dropping dramatically form that summer. He failed to impress at Milan again and even AS Monaco cut short his loan spell six months before the natural end of his deal at the Stade Luis II.

AS Roma’s sporting director believed in him. The former Milan starlet impressed Walter Sabatini when they first met to negotiate the player’s move to the Olimpico last January and his personality and commitment convinced Sabatini straight-away.

Milan do not regret letting him leave and Roma can make his move permanent for € 13 million at the end of the season. If El Shaarawy will prove he has finally recovered consistency, that could be an amazing deal for AS Roma.
