Napoli, Milik progressing but doesn’t set return date

Arkadiusz Milik picked up an anterior cruciate ligament injury while on duty with Poland national team last month and is set to remain out of action for several months. The former Ajax striker has released an interview with Sky Sport failing to set a return date.

“I am feeling well, I don’t even remember how long ago I picked up the injury. It must be some 40 days or something like that. I am running now and I am happy for that, everything’s going the right way.”

“The physiotherapist says that my body is responding well. I don’t know when I will be back, I can’t set a return date, it’s always risky to predict a return date.”

Milik has had an astonishing start to the season with seven goals and one assist in the opening nine games of the season. Napoli signed him for € 33 million from Ajax last summer to replace Gonzalo Higuain and before the injury Milik proved to be ready to pick up the baton from the Argentinean striker.
